where to start?

So many things to say...

First off, Ellie turned 8 months on Tuesday. I'm a little behind, I know. But, just for my records - this is what is happening around here.
She is crawling.
She is walking (of course when we hold her arms up).
She is climbing up on everything.
She blows raspberries.
She clicks her tongue.
She gives kisses.
She loves to watch her hands move.
She still has no teeth.

And, this is what she discovered today...

Second, I have been thinking that I really want to go to New York again soon. Like right now! We were supposed to go this November to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. (She is probably going to kill me for announcing that one) But now, she is backing out. Mom, please think how fun it would be. You should really reconsider. I know it's not for a while but if I know I will be going, I could probably hold out.

Third, how do you like the new look of the blog? Pretty snazzy eh? Anyway, those of you new to blogs - you are missing out, but let me tell you a couple of things... you can leave comments - we LOVE the comments! After each post, it will have a number and then comments. Click on that under the post if you have something to say. A box will come up with 3 options. If you don't have a google account, you can click on other and put your name there (you don't need a web address which is totally stupid if you ask me) or you can do anonymous (but why would you want to hide) and then submit after whichever option you have chosen. Make sense?
Remember, we LOVE the comments - makes it all worth while knowing that someone is actually reading this!

Fourth, I have decided to sell my pez. I'm going to keep a few that I just can't get rid of but mostly, they are gone. I did this a while back at an ebay store but they went out of business so they gave them all back to me. Besides, a saw a Bratz pez dispenser the other day. It is almost like I have lost all respect. What is that about? So, if anyone is interested, I will try and post links once they are available.

Fifth, I have my scrapbooking mojo back! I have actually been able to do a few pages lately. Feels somewhat good to get back in the groove. Anyway, I thought I would just throw this out there to see if anyone would be interested... I'm thinking of doing some sort of side gig of scrapping for people other than myself. I figure a little more income wouldn't hurt. If anyone wants to know more about this, you can comment (again, see above) and I can discuss details.

Sixth, Lindsi, I hate to single you out but I sent you an email the other day regarding your questions and it came back undeliverable - did you change it? If so, I'm going to need the new one.

Wow, six things. And to think that number nine is my favorite number. I feel like I should go until then just to make myself feel better, but you probably stopped reading at number two. If not, you are too nice and let me know if I can answer any questions!

Have a super duper weekend, I know I will.

ellie. ellie. and more ellie.

Because there are some people out there who could care less about the lives of Joaquin and I, I present you Miss Ellie.
(But don't worry, if it wasn't for the two of us, she wouldn't be here! So, you will still be hearing about all of us!)

here she is standing up in her cute mini skirt!

trying to open the drawer.

modeling her I already know more than the President shirt.

playing with her baby food lids at lunch.

playing in the crib we requested at the hotel.

at the beach.

modeling her swimsuit.

completely dirty after eating a biscuit in her Joshua Radin onesie.

the picture that makes me think - when exactly did I get a three year old? Okay, maybe not three, but doesn't she look old?

out of focus, but one of my favorites!

Okay, there were alot there. Hopefully enough to make everyone happy!
Enjoy!
Later,
Lori

moms and dads unite.

Another problem!

Our little one is constipated. Actually, it is pretty funny to hear her grunting all the time but probably not so funny for her. Not sure what I can do at this point so I thought I would put this out there for all you parents. Anybody know anything? I'm also going to call her doctor but you know they take forever to call you back...

FYI - she eats everything! So, it is hard to pinpoint it, that is if it is one food.

Thanks for your help!

help, somebody help!

Anybody out there know how to work itunes?

Here is my problem. I have Christmas music on my ipod. I most often just do a shuffle of everything I have. So, on occasion, I find myself singing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas or the like when in the middle I realize what the hell I am singing. People, it's March and 80 degrees outside. Doesn't really go together.

Anyway...does anyone know how I can just make a playlist of the Christmas music without having it go into rotation on a shuffle or do I just have to resort to deleting it all?

Anyone??? I'm sure there is someone out there much smarter than me who can answer this!

Thanks!

supermom.

I feel good. I knew that I would now. I feel good. So good. So good. I got you.

Can I just tell you...
Last night, I washed and folded three loads of laundry.
I made Joaquin dinner.
I watched 2 tivo'd programs.
I fed Ellie.
I gave Ellie a bath.
I gave myself a bath.
I was able to watch all of Dancing with the Stars (go Apolo!)
and this was all after a full day of work.

After feeling so good about my accomplishments, Joaquin says, well you didn't put the clothes away.

Thanks babe!

But, let me give you props - you put the new kitchen table together and 2 of the chairs!

Go us!

california.

Well, she passed the test. We headed out for a weekend trip to San Diego. The first official family trip. Didn't go too bad actually. We went to IKEA (of course), Mission Beach (where she saw the "big bath tub". Too bad it was freezing! We went out to dinner both nights where she did pretty well. All in all, it was a good experience.

However, it is going to be a good getaway to Mexico without her. Honestly, just driving and taking all the stuff you have to take for a baby is a little overwhelming. The thought of getting on a plane just scares me.

Maybe someday...

it's time.

So, did you all see this?

Truthfully, the only memory I have of this place is going to see Gregg Peterson in the lounge. Is that a good thing or bad thing?

And the next one to go? Any thoughts from anyone?
I'm thinking either
a) Excalibur (and I mean no disrespect to the previous "owner"). I mean I have fond memories of being chaffered around like we owned the place but come on - the place truly is a dump.
or
b) Riviera. Another dump. The only memory I have of this place is going to get tickets refunded for a show since I got drunk earlier with my mom and her friends (or I think it was just me that got drunk). Regardless, they did actually refund the tickets. Why? Probably because they are nice people. But, it still needs to go.

anyone a fan of the olympics?

check this out...

you know you are going to watch!

the week in review.

Sounds somewhat political...
Guaranteed not to be other than this - vote for Oscar 2007

Love, love, love him!

Got my house cleaned this week. Love coming home to a clean house, especially when I'm not the one who had to do it. The only thing - the next day, "do you know where this is"? Had to keep looking for things. However, they were probably in the place where they should have been all along.

Got myself a pedicure today - pretty toes! It's time for flip flops!

Saw this the other day - it's about damn time.

(you can click on the picture to actually see what it is)
Open. Open. Open. Open.
I'm going to have to stalk it every day to check out the progress.

We got another letter from the HOA stating we have X amount of days to get a backyard put in. Good timing.

Ellie has officially started crawling. Although I think she might be walking before too long. She is all over the place. Tomorrow the gates are going up! So hard to get anything done anymore, she is so active, all over the place. She has also mastered the bye-bye wave. So freaking cute!

And she had her first taste of Cheerios this week. Still no teeth yet though, so she just gums the hell out of them. However, now that she has started eating those, I feel like I should be taking her to church or something...

We have decided not to take Ellie to Mexico - it's going to be too hard. We just need to drive to California for a weekend first and see how that goes before we decide to take her out of the country. Not to mention the pressure if she did go!

Still trying to organize the house, I have been working on the loft for the last 2 weekends, hoping to get it done today. I've got to get it done before there are little fingers all over my stuff! It is hard though when you have so much stuff!

Daylight savings is this weekend - don't forget to change your clocks. How exciting! Now I can take Ellie on walks after work in the actual daylight.

And, since this this post was started last night but finished this morning, Ellie has said dada twice today. Very cool.

It seems like there is so much more to tell, but this is already quite long.

So until next time...

So, just looked this up. If I had an ounce of tanness on my body, I might go out in shorts. Maybe I should look into that...
